IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR POTENTIAL CLAIM

Before making your claim with us you should consider that in certain circumstances you might have to pay our fees out of your own money rather than the compensation awarded.

1.0 If you owe your Landlord any monies, for example rent or deposit, this amount may be deducted from the compensation paid. However, our full fees will still be payable.

Please see the illustration below:

Amount recovered for customer: Amount owed to Landlord: Our fees to be deducted (inc VAT): Amount to be received to us: Amount to be paid to us:
£500 £500 £125 £0 £125
£1000 £500 £250 £250 £0
£3000 £500 £750 £1,750 £0
£10,000 £500 £2,500 £7,000 £0

2.0 You should inform us if you are:

2.1 in an individual voluntary arrangement (IVA) or are waiting for one to be agreed by your creditors;

2.2 have been declared bankrupt in the last 12 months or there is a bankruptcy petition pending against you, or

2.3 there a debt relief order has been made against you. In the circumstances above it is a possibility that any compensation paid to might have to be used by you to offset any outstanding debts and therefore you would be liable to pay all of our fees from your own monies depending on the size of the debt.
